The B.Sc. Accounting program at the Distance Learning Institute is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of financial reporting, auditing, and taxation. This program caters to both fresh secondary school leavers and working professionals looking to gain accredited qualifications through a flexible learning model.

What Are the Entry Requirements

O' Level (5-Year Track):

  • Qualification: WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO or equivalent
  • Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and 2 other subjects
  • Constraint: Achieved in no more than two sittings

Direct Entry (4-Year Track):

  • University Graduates: Minimum of Pass in relevant disciplines (Actuarial Science, Banking, Finance, etc.)
  • Technical/Diplomas: ND (Lower Credit) or ICAN ATS III
  • Teaching: NCE in Accounting or Financial Education
  • Advanced Level: GCE ‘A’ Level or JUPEB/IJMB with credit points in Economics and 2 relevant subjects

Professional/HND (3-Year Track):

  • Degree Holders: Good honors degree in relevant disciplines (excluding Accounting)
  • Higher Diploma: HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in related fields
  • Professional Bodies: Full qualifications in ACA, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIA, or ACIB
